Repair or replace?

A well-targeted repair is often all a sound roof needs — and far cheaper than a full replacement. But if the same roof keeps leaking in different places, has widespread slipped tiles or is simply worn out, we'll tell you honestly when a re-roof would be the better value.

Roof Repair FAQs

Why is my roof leaking when it rains? +
The most common causes are slipped, cracked or missing tiles, failed or corroded lead flashing around chimneys and valleys, worn mortar on the ridge, blocked or overflowing gutters, and — on flat roofs — splits or failed seams. We trace the leak at survey and fix the actual cause rather than just patching the symptom.
Do I need scaffolding for roof repairs? +
It depends on the location and scale of the work. Small, accessible repairs can often be done safely from ladders or a tower, while higher or larger jobs need proper scaffolding for safe access. We're work-at-height trained and will include any access needed in your written quote — no hidden extras.
Can a roof be repaired in winter or bad weather? +
Yes. Many repairs can be carried out in cold or wet conditions, and we'll always make a leaking roof safe and watertight as a priority. Some work — such as certain flat-roof and rendering finishes — needs dry conditions to cure properly, and we'll advise if a job needs to wait for a weather window.
Do you do emergency roof repairs? +
Yes — if your roof has failed or storm damage has let water in, get in touch and we'll prioritise making it safe and watertight before arranging any permanent repair.
