A roof built to last

A modern re-roof isn't just new tiles. We upgrade the parts you don't see — breathable membrane, treated battens, proper ventilation and dry-fix ridge and verge systems — so your new roof stays watertight and low-maintenance for the long term.

Re-Roofing FAQs

When should I replace my roof rather than repair it? +
If your roof is nearing the end of its lifespan, has widespread slipped or broken tiles, is sagging, or keeps leaking in different places despite repairs, a re-roof is usually the more cost-effective long-term choice. We'll assess it at survey and only recommend a full replacement when it genuinely makes sense.
How long does a new roof last? +
A properly installed slate or tile roof can last 50 years or more, with concrete tiles typically 40–60 years and natural slate often longer. Lifespan depends on the materials, the quality of installation and ongoing maintenance such as clearing gutters and moss.
How long does it take to install a new roof? +
Most domestic re-roofs take somewhere between a few days and around two weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, the weather and any structural or timber work needed. We'll give you a realistic timescale with your quote.
Do I need planning permission for a new roof or re-roof? +
Like-for-like re-roofing is usually permitted development and doesn't need planning permission, but changing the roof materially, altering the height or shape, or working on a listed building or in a conservation area can. We'll flag anything you need to check before we start.
